Sorry you're sick, V. But the cookies are excellent! Just had another one. So how long is it before I can start whining again?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
Better living through chemistry. Maybe I should buy Advil stock. I'll live.
I was whining to Sarah about maybe not making my riding goal for the month. I have to get more organized with that.
V.
Yeah, I threatened to sic Jo "Mother Hen" Bob on her. Got to get those priorities straight.
V, you can always stay and ride the 75 with us on Saturday.
S.
That would still leave me 125 miles short. Stupid yard work... I feel pretty good right now. I'll see how the ride home feels and then decide. Trust me, I'm not so crazy as to ride when I feel really crummy. Last April's mileage was high because I did the DMD staff ride.
V.
V, do you want to do a junction ride Thursday afternoon, to help with your mileage goals?
And so glad I can resume whining, what a relief! It's just too hard to keep those whines inside.
Veronica (I love your name, by the way) - Get yourself some Mucinex. This past February, I had the worst cold/flu/throat infection. To help clear out my sinuses and less the awful post-nasal drip, my doc told me to use Mucinex. The medicine -- it's over the counter -- is a godsend. It'll will make your snot more watery so you'll be able to clear it all out without as much effort.

Thanks for the offer, but I need to do 30 miles a day, every day this week, plus the 50 on Saturday. Procrastination is a beautiful thing. NOT! To make this doable I'm going to try to make my miles as flat and easy as possible. Today's ride was 30.3, with 1581 feet of ascent. Plus my massive round trip commute of 3.2. Giving me a total of 33.5 for the today. I'm ahead of my plan by 3.5 miles.Originally Posted by aka_kim

I may HAVE to ride up Hamiliton on Saturday.

PS The nose is still running incessantly, but the ride felt good. The end of my nose is sore from running my glove across it. I'm such a wimp.
You could just tie your bandana across.Originally Posted by Veronica
