V, I'm sorry this has happened to you again! Did they do any damage? I hope your video scared them away before they could!

In case you change your mind, the breeder from whom I'm getting my new girl still has available puppies in the current litter. Your dog would be my girl's sister or brother! I could drive her/him out to you.Check out www.stormypointgoldens.com, look for the current litter listing under "puppies."
BTW, goldens are great watch dogs. They've got "mean dog" barks!!

Ah V, I know its been said - but that really sucks!
I remember hearing (on the radio a few years back) a convicted felon who had done his time and was working for the police in anti-crime education...
He reckoned the best deterrent burglar alarm was a small dog. He said their voice carries to the neighbours much better than a big dog, and they just won't shut up...
On the other hand, Trek's "cat vomit" sign is a good alternative.
So pleased you have the vid of these guys. Here's hoping the cops can track these ice-holes down!
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
Is your alarm tied to a monitoring system? I tell you, after our 2nd ransacking and realizing we needed to put an alarm in, I feel so much safer. The third time our home was broken into, it was the alarm that saved us from another ransacking. Once they stepped into the area where the alarm is triggered, if entry was made other than by door (they came in through a kitchen window, this time), the creeps made tracks. We had just changed the alarm from 'silent' mode to audible. Wish we hadn't changed it, because then the police and security company that showed up would have caught the creeps. Oh well...they made off with a few insignificant items, so I feel the monthly cost is well worth it.
Wow that's terrible. I am so sorry.

Good thing you have upgraded your security system. But still, another rottie would be extra precaution. And think how cute they are when they're little. Like little teddy bears!

That sucks! So sorry to hear you've had yet another break-in, and when you've done what you can to protect your property.
Definitely teach the cat to gak up hairballs on intruders!

Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
We had an old cat when we got a dog. The dog was taught early on that Toby was his elder, and was not to be disturbed. Since Toby remembered the dog
before; it was no big shock to him.
It was always fun to put a large bone on the ground. Toby would slowly walk over to it and sniff and maybe lick it. The dog would wait... until Toby walked away. Then finally the dog would grab his bone.
Veronica, if you're a dog person, get a dog; your kitty won't mind. And
i'm glad you caught the jerks on tape.
Oh no V!!
That just sucks.![]()

Not sure what the zoning is for your area, but if it is allowed, you might want to consider a pair of geese. They are very territorial and make excellent guard animals. Trust me, it is very hard to sneak up on and around a couple of vigilant geese!!!
yeah, geese scare me! Those critters are PERSISTANT! and they make horrid noises and they PINCH! and they won't go away!
Geese are a great idea!

Geese broke my uncle's ribs. And they, um, poop a lot. I guess that's a deterrent in itself.![]()
