There were some goodies for the road, mini notebooks and coffee in there!

Thank you so much, my SS from NJ!!!!

So glad you liked the books and other goodies, too. Enjoy.....

    overnight?

Wow Mimi - you got your package from Jeannie overnight? That's amazing - Richmond to Seattle. Meanwhile, I mailed mine to my SS (who is NOT on the left coast) & I don't think it has arrived yet....

five one - I have your avatar picture hanging on my kitchen wall!

When I was in kindergarten, I had that exact trike in blue and white. As soon as I saw that image, I knew I'd found my avatar...finally.

I just received my ss package today and I must say it was a real day brightener. Thank you so much, Five One! The books look like they are "right up my alley", and these cookies! I'm speechless! They are too beautiful to eat (although I couldn't resist sampling one already!). Believe it or not, I've been meaning to read The Secret life of Bees. King of the Wind looks like a book I would have loved as a kid--which means I will likely love it now. (Those Newbery people are never wrong!) and I look forward to reading Red Sky at Morning as well. All this and book marks and book plates to boot! I am not worthy.
    Thanks again!

I mailed my SS package out on 8/6, it was going out to Calif. I haven't seen where she has posted that she's received it..hopefully she has it and just hasn't posted. I am more worried about the postal service losing the pkgs opposed to whether the SS will like the pkg

Shelly, I'm afraid I'm the guilty party. VERY sorry. My life has been crazy the last couple of weeks between work, friends visiting and then life in general.

THANK YOU very much and very sorry for the belated posting. It was a very nice surprise at work. It's kinda funny cuz that day our office manager was out sick and I happened to glance over at the mail pile and out of curiosity, I just went thru the mail pile.

After the initial perplextion over why there was something addressed to me, I remembered. "OH, it must be from TE!"

Thanks very much for the nice mag sand book!
