Thanks Deanna !
I might opt for the metric after all - it seems kind of silly to go all that way to be with a bunch of friends and then not even ride with them.
Plus Dr. PAB is leaving very soon and Trekhawk is leaving not long from now. Not many more chances to ride with them![]()
Plus it hasn't escaped my notice that an earlier finish would make a stop at Dempseys before the drive home that much more doable.
I could always do another long ride on Sunday. Yeah, that's it.

I will talk to DH tonight and see how early he can get home on Friday. You guys just make your plans and I will try to be there for it.
LOL with how fast you are getting you will probably finish at the same time as us anyway if you do the century. You remember how much I like a good rest stop.![]()
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

The century will be good for you. It is a great route. You do have to watch the free range cows on Coleman, especially creepy red eye bull V and I saw on a ride there last year.![]()

Sounds like your coach wants you to do the century Jo. Get tough on her MP.

I know. Scary. At least she'll be strong enough to tow us around Solvang...

To help with your dinner decision, I should clarify that Old Chicago is more of a deep dish pizza. They even have a double crust stuffed. I don't know if they take reservations, but if they do, I'd recommend it, it can get crowded on the weekends.

Yes, jobob, the century will be Good For You. And maybe, you could do the 100 miles of Holstein on Saturday and then the 100k of Napa on Sunday? Or maybe the full 100 miles on Sunday too. (I feel like my slacker attitude is rubbing off on you, and must therefore do something to counteract that.) I was told by a grizzled DC veteran that doing back-to-back centuries was the best prep for a double.
As for dinner, 7 or later works for me. But I like thick crust pizza.
OK, OK, we'll see.
Someone would just have to keep LeeBob company during the looong wait until I finish. No shoving, ladies.
Aw, gee, the Napa is all filled up. Darn. Back-to-back centuries was such a good idea, though. So good that I may end up doing one from home on Sunday anyhow. So there.
Since Kim has voiced a preference for thick crust, I vote we go along with the Chief Whiner's wishes (or suffer the consequences).

Ann & I are definitely up for the traditional TE pre-ride dinner on Friday night. 7 or later sounds fine to me, we'll be coming up sometime in the afternoon, so we're pretty flexible.
Any of the restaurants that Deanna recommended would be fine with me. She's never steered us wrong before.![]()

No No Jo, you have to do the century! That is what Amie and I are doing!
As for the route... I wonder if they have changed it since MP did it as they claim that it is ~5500 ft of climbing.... hmmmmm....I hope that it isn't 7000![]()
As for dinner. Amie and I could do 7 or 7:30. We will probably leave PA around 4 or 4:30.... hopefully it doesn't take a full 3.5 hours to get there with traffic!
