I think 7 or 7:30-ish for dinner would be a good time to shoot for since then we'd be able to hit the sack early. Would that be too early for you, though?
What about the rest of you (Kim, Ellen, Ann, Melissa, ??), and idea when you might arrive?
At least Petaluma is a bit shorter drive than Santa Rosa from the bay area, which is especially helpful on Friday evening.![]()
Perhaps pizza would be quicker than the other options? Then we'd only have to decide between thick & thin crust.
Deanna, do you know offhand which pizza place has quicker service or anything else to recommend over the other?

Aha, so it does go up Coleman Valley - there was some discussion over on bikeforums about that and no-one knew if it went up Coleman or not.
Yeah, I should do the century, it'll be Good For Me.
all by lonesome, in the dark, and the cold, chased down by cows....

JoBob,
I'll be doing the century route. Bay Hill has been somewhat repaved (their starting a new quarry out there, thankfully hidden from the road) so not as bad has it was in the past--I swear I about bounced off the back of the tandem one time on the old pavement.
Foodwise, I think the New Yorker has faster service. They also have pasta, which Old Chicago does not. Their salads leave something to be desired, but they are greens if that's what you need. A transplanted New York family runs it--I watched the kids grow up, so I'm a little more partial to them.
I can't make it for a pre-ride dinner, but I'd be up for stopping for a brewski at Dempseys afterwards. Their food is very good, with many of the produce coming from the owners farm.

I hope you all have a grand time!

Thanks Deanna !
I might opt for the metric after all - it seems kind of silly to go all that way to be with a bunch of friends and then not even ride with them.
Plus Dr. PAB is leaving very soon and Trekhawk is leaving not long from now. Not many more chances to ride with them![]()
Plus it hasn't escaped my notice that an earlier finish would make a stop at Dempseys before the drive home that much more doable.
I could always do another long ride on Sunday. Yeah, that's it.

I will talk to DH tonight and see how early he can get home on Friday. You guys just make your plans and I will try to be there for it.
LOL with how fast you are getting you will probably finish at the same time as us anyway if you do the century. You remember how much I like a good rest stop.![]()

The century will be good for you. It is a great route. You do have to watch the free range cows on Coleman, especially creepy red eye bull V and I saw on a ride there last year.![]()

Sounds like your coach wants you to do the century Jo. Get tough on her MP.
