School started already?? Lucky you - except for the stomach flu part.

I will look for you. I think we're starting early, around 7. I want to get done early so I can spend time with my friend who's staying with us. The metric route is pretty flat/rollery til the very end, which does Wilson and Marshall, I believe. (We just did the metric route as a training/taper ride for DR). It's a fun route.

The course sounds cool I will just ignore the comment "til the very end".
Im better if I go to these rides blissfully ignorant of the pain Im going to suffer. Hmm perhaps I better start with some cups of tea like BikeMomma suggested to dull the feelings.

The 2 climbs are not bad at all. And the scenery is fantastic. As are the cows.

Or Red Bull, dark chocolate, No-Doz ...

    I'm doing the 100k too.

Oh, be prepared for a chilly start. Last year I was such a cold wimp I wore arm warmers, knee warmers, head band and long fingered gloves for most of the ride. And I'm bringing it all again this weekend.

Does anyone know anything about the century ride route?

Looks like I'm the only one who is going to do the century, but since I usually ride alone anyways, I don't mind.

I'm sure you all will keep LeeBob company on the metric.

jo - it looks like it is the same as the metric, except at the beginning where you go to Occidental at the beginning, and towards Petaluma in the middle. You'll still get to climb Marshall. I wonder if the century goes by the cheese place?

100 Mile Route: North to Bodega Bay, East to Occidental, South to Chileno Valley, East to Petaluma, West to Marshall, North to Tomales.
Approximately 5500 feet of climbing. Fee is $65.

67 Mile Route: North to Bodega, South to Chileno Valley, West to Marshall, North to Tomales.
Approximately 3500 feet of climbing. Fee is $65.

I did it in 2005, so my recollection is a little fuzzy. I have the map somewhere. 7000 feet of climbing per my BJ report, which has no detail.

It was Tomales - Dillon Beach - Valley Ford - Bay Hill (watch the descent - TERRIBLE pavement) - Coleman Valley - Occidental (skip the Occidental rest stop and stop at the Freestone Bakery on the way to Valley Ford) - loops of flat stuff between Petaluma and Valley Ford - Wilson Hill - Marshall Wall - Tomales. It's a great century route.
