depends on the weather, I have worn mine all the time for the 2 that I have done! they don't bother me and if I have to take them off on the run I can just put them in a pocket and not lose any time. My transition went well, I kept it simple, I made sure my velcro was open when on my bike shoes, and I set my helmet upside down chin strap open. I saw a lot of others doint complicated stuff, not me, I was in and out in a jiffy. I did forget to put the thingys on my shoe laces so I didn't have to tie them .

workout. Legs are tired today but not too bad.
so I ended up just spinning at a fast speed with light resistance for about an hour.
