Wonder if you could remove the T-Mobile decals? Sometimes you can. Then it would just be a pretty black and white Giant.

With better components than the reg TCR alliance.

I CONFESS! I'm considering it because the componentry is good for the price it's at at my local lbs. But the t-mobile bit is holding me back....I don't wanna look ludicrous and cheesy (which I think the T-mobile bit is). And why not get better componentry at a good price?

The T-Mobile isn't as noticeable as a team kit. I saw a guy wearing a US Postal team kit the other day
It does have decent components and says Ultegra upgrade is available.

Just my own thing- but I really dislike huge logos of any kind on either my clothes or my bike. I wish all logos would be no more than 1 or 2" big.

I spend a lot of time carefully removing loud logos from stuff i buy.

I was lucky. I have two of the old Cannondale R1000's with the women's T-Mobile paint jobs. Black with hot pink flames, but nowhere does it say 'T-Mobile'. Now, it DOES say Cannondale in about 10 places...

I think its cool! I would never think you were a poseur. People wear clothes all the time with their favorite team emblems plastered on 'em for basketball, baseball, hockey--you name it. Why should it be any different for cycling? Go for it! And don't don't apologize for it!

One of the guys in our cycling group has an old Postal Service kit, along with a bunch of other pro-team jerseys. He loves wearing that stuff. Go figure....

I would get one of those team bikes if I could choose a rider to come with it

Yeah...but can he ride like he means it??

DH pondered getting a Jittery Joe's jersey at the CSC Invitational recently. I was surprised, b/c he usually wears only Bike Place jerseys. I think he just liked that it was a coffee product, and he's a bit of a caffeine junky! Unfortunately (?) - they didn't take plastic, and we had no cash. So...no jersey, and DH will continue to fly the flag only for our LBS.

Uh.....no he can't ride like he means it.

Y'know...that jersey can be had online Peet's also has a jersey if DH is into coffees.

OK, I admit this is easier for me to write than to do...

BUT...if the bike is a great deal, and you want it, go for it! If anyone thinks you look ludicrous or cheesy, and actually gives you a bad time about that, then they have much bigger issues than you do! Walk tall and do what you want!

If you like the bike, go for it. I used to have this frame http://archive.giant-bicycles.com/us...04&model=10953
and I loved it. I wish I still had it(UPS lost it), but I didn't care that it said t-mobile on it. I actually had some really cool comments on it, because you don't see many of them around, it is a unique bike.

If you like the bike, go for it! Don't let what others say about the logo change what you like the feel of. Right now, it is important to get the best bike for your money that you feel good on.

oh, teawoman, not cheesy at all! i see giants in pink t-mobile regalia, and plenty of discovery bikes and even uspostal bikes. there's a specialized at my lbs right now with gerolsteiner colors/decals. i dont know if they have a quickstep, that would be cool. anyway, go for it. everything's cheesy to somebody, but just as many will like it as not. i like it, others hate it. we're a big ol' diverse world! dont pass it up!

I have seen the gerolsteiner, the ex fiance's store(he works at his LBS) had one.
And along those lines, last weekend at the crits there was a guy with a liquigas bike.
And I second seeing the pink t-mobile bikes, so why not be different and get the white?
