Perhaps we should start getting our stakes ready? You know...stakes for burning witches... (sorry for the dripping sarcasm here...not directed at you PinkBike, just at the situation in general!)

I prefer to be naive and, until they're caught in the act, presume that they are innocent, instead of the way that this whole thing has been going (those postings on Cycling News are so full of assumptions and generalizations, it's silly). It's a shame that so many of these guys are dopers (the Aaron's team mechanic proudly wore his "Dopers Suck" T-shirt at the Tour de Toona over the weekend), but then again elite athletes are elite for a reason...they have the best training, the best equipment, and access to the best cheating money can buy.

Heeeeyyyy, don't be raining on Dave Z's parade here!!

I just hope Tenacious Z gets that knee problem sorted out. Hopefully, Slipstream will let him use his custom-made shoes (with argyle covers, of course).

I will be watching slipstream with much excitement. I heard rumors about George Hincapie going to there too.

As for Discovery, I heard a rumor that Hewlett Packert/Oracle will be the main sponsors next year. We'll see. I can imagine many sponsors pulling out since it costs upward about 10 million to run a team and that is a lot of money to be spending when looking at doping scandals.

They also said they signed a recent winner of the Paris-Roubaix but haven't released the name. Anyone want to bet who it is? Looks like O'Grady and Cancellara have contracts with CSC through 2008. I don't think Boonen would leave a Belgian team.

Rumor has it to be Magnus Backstedt from Liqiugas. The only other active P-R winner is Peter Van Petegem (I think he's with Quikstep)

Interesting. All the rumors I've seen about Hincapie indicate that he may go to T-Mobile. Personally, I think that'd be a big mistake on George's part, what with all their issues this year.

Good grief, KD - you are seriously plugged into the rumor mill!!!
You must have reported on a half dozen "rumors" in this thread alone!

BTW - isn't T-Mobile also pullling their title sponorship??

Bah. So I was a little addicted to cycling news during the Tour... That's acceptable isn't it?

And I only mentioned following two rumors in this thread. And, come to think of it, I think I read them both in the same article a week or so ago. So there

Here is a quote from Velonews for all you argyle fans:

And yes, the team will return in its argyle kits in 2008 - a design Vaughters takes full responsibility for.

"My sister has a great saying about the argyle kits," Millar said. "‘Fantastic concept, horrific realization.'
