Do you every accidentally bite your tongue or the inside of your cheek more often then you should? Explanation will follow if anyone responds.

There's actually an explanation for this? I thought it was just that after the first bite there was a bit of swelling so that further bites were that much more likely. But maybe that's not it at all.

My jaw joint goes awry occaisionally and I bite my cheeks.

Have a nice little bite splint that I wear at night to protect my jaw joint.

I bite the inside of my cheeks when I sleep at night, but I also sleep on the side of my face/stomach a LOT.
    I enjoy it all.

Well, yes. The insides of my cheeks have the visible imprints of all that biting over the years. Not only that, I didn't realize that my tongue has teeth marks on the sides too. My acupuncturist (Pika) pointed out that the teeth marks indicate a swollen tongue, which, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine is a sign of low spleen energy.

I have no idea what the biting the insides of my cheeks means, though.

Does it mean you invented a new meaning to the term "sucking face"??

I also bite my cheeks when chewing gum. Dang! I missed it again!
