I feel bad leaving her alone all the time when she has no friends in town yet. It should only be a few weeks though.

Two things:

1) The times when you're gone would be great times for her to go to a class at the gym on a visitor's pass, or go to that poetry reading, or whatever, to make new friends!

2) Borrow her a bike, of course!
