Push the pedal down watch the world around fly by us
Riding around Crater Lake has to be the most beautiful ride we have ever done. And I've done some really beautiful rides.![]()
There is a lot of climbing on it too - 3600 feet in 33 miles.

Hey Veronica,
So sorry you got that nasty owie, but it sounds as if you and Thom have the right attitude and put a positive spin on it. Too bad it impacted your experience of the Tour de Blast too; did you stay for the spaghetti feed after? I found that to be a hot climb in previous years, but gorgeous, unusual views and great downhills to make it a uniquely NW kind of ride.
Happy recovery to you and hang in there...
Mary
We did stay for the spaghetti feed. It was really good. We finished our ride so early in the day that we drove up to see what we missed.![]()
I can see us going back up to do the ride again. It's such a beautiful area.

You are one tough cookie. I hope the arm is feeling a little better.
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

I agree with you about it being the most beautiful area. I went up there in a car and I almost cried when i saw the view. And of course, you all know that's what's on the Oregon Quarter!!
If there's anyway you can get here to see this, you should! on bike or not.
Healing slowly, the bruises are still pretty colorful.
