wow! what an adventure! shredded tires, stuck feet!
riding in the rain DOES count double, especially if you don't have the right gear and stuff.
How did you shred your tires without even noticing it?

And having your BF strategically waiting to rescue you. I hope he got lots of bonus points for that one!

    and welcome to TE.

Thanks, mimi. I saw the glass while we were riding, and did my best to avoid it, but by the end of the ride, I was too cold and wet to check if it had done any damage. The glass cut several gashes into the tire (there was still glass stuck in there when I checked it the next morning - I only found it because I went to check the tire pressure). I'm still pretty new to riding, so I'm pretty unobservant about stuff.

My BF actually said that having to come rescue me was one of the highlights of the ride. He likes to say he was my Knight in Under Armour. :P

    Thumbs up

Nicely done, Twinkie. The more miles and experience you have under your belt, the more proficient you will get at riding in unpredictable situations. Sounds like you had some adventures out there on the road, and you handled them well. Congratulations on finishing the ride. The MS-150 is a very well-sponsored tour and you've donated your time and effort to a terrific cause.

Congrats on doing the ride!! You had a tough go, but it sounds like your upbeat attitude kept things in perspective and you had a great time overall. Time in the saddle makes you an expert (I'm convinced) and the more trouble you have- the better prepared you are to handle it. Next time out- you'll be an old pro.

Way to go! You must have felt so proud at the end of the day. I am new too, so I could have seen myself doing those same things!
