Once you map the route, hold the mouse over the end point, and it will tell you the final distance. You might have to save the route first to get this...

Here is an example of a saved route. To see the distance, mouse over the endpoint and you will see that this loop is 28.05 miles.

When I went to that link, my browser said that a script running from it was making my computer so slow that it would likely cause a crash, so I quit it. This has NEVER happened before on any site! My computer is quite powerful and only 1 year old, too. Guess they might have some glitches to work out? Maybe it doesn't like Firefox?

I really like the site. Thanks for providing the link.

I mapped out the route for Saturday that Ellen, Suzie and I will do. It says 48.97 miles, which is about right, because Suzie and I have a century the following weekend and we don't want to bike too many miles that close to the century. Our route tomorrow goes out to Mt. Angel, and we plan on stopping at a mom and pop hamburger stand for lunch that is on Main Street in the little town.

The site is way cool. I will really have a lot of fun with it this summer.
