KimmyT- well, at least you've been cycling, that's good. Perhaps it was a good time off from running, for your body.
Way to go, getting out for a run in the midwestern heat. Once the summer gets going, I only like to run early in the day, when it's still (hopefully) cool & the humidity isn't as oppressing. Make sure to eat something after your runs; it can really help stave off the lead-legs feeling!
