Seeing the eagle and bobcat was SO amazing! I've never seen either in the wild - that was a real treat!
There are several good vantage points along the road to see the eagle, and with a good telephoto lens you could get some amazing shots.

I haven't talked to him about it. I just thought it sounded fun and not too hard!

oh goodness!
Glad you were in good company for the bike's inaugural crash. Sorry I missed the after ride portabellos. I passed by the area about 12:30 but figured you all were still on course since I didn't get through to either Jobob or Bikerz's phone. Jobob did ring back to let me know what happened. Thanks for the voicemail Jo!
Hope to see y'all next time. And a speedy recovery to Bikerz and Ms. Seven.![]()
What's with fowl Sundays? We had a blue grouse attack each of us on the trail above Park City? If you stopped, she picked you and your wheels, even chase you down the trail. She's going to be one tired momma.
BikerZ, sigh. Don't we keep telling you the bike goes faster with the rubberside down? Glad it wasn't too serious and that you provided MelissaM plenty of entertainment and Jo a chance to hone her training plan.

My poor Seven goes into the shop today and I'll get the diagnosis.
And the ankle is still swollen and bruised - serves me right for fighting the fall! I should have just relaxed and gone over gracefully, although that probably would have reduced my great "10!" score from the racer boys in the audience.
I'll have all day to contemplate this sad turn of events on Saturday, sitting cross-legged (ouch!) in an 8-hour meditation retreat!
Keep calm and carry on...
Sorry to hear about the crash but I suppose it's better to get THAT over with, and while being in the good company of pals, rather than out on your own.
Last week must have been the week for crashes (Coast to Coast), took a header myself (more like a 4) but one of riding buds and her BRAND spanking new S Works took a header too.
Again good thing for all of us, that we ride with gals who know whent to be concerned for our wellbeing or when it's more appropriate to be concerned about the condition of your new wheels!
Still hoping to hook up with you gals in a couple weeks-- will be dropping a line as time nears.
Be safe out there ladies!
