I am led to believe that if you visit your local pub, i'm sure you'll find an Austrailan or Kiwi behind the bar. Aussies are everywhere and in places you won't expect them.

Hey, what about the YHA in Anchorage?

    Seek and ye shall find!

Tim Tams are the best chocolate biscuit in the world! Tim Tam slams are a great, if sometimes messy, way to devour a whole pack! My favourites are the double coat (extra thick layer of chocolate on the outside) and the caramel (the have caramel in the middle as well as the chocolate cream). Has anyone tried them frozen??? Yum.... the freezer also makes a great hiding spot!

No time yet, but I'm plotting an attack strategy

Given that I started a high protein menu this week, I want to wait until I'm carbo loading

    Sigh....

Running son ate the last two tim tams....
Next time I will hide them. I just HAD to tell him about the nibble off the ends and dunk in milk trick... sigh...
I guess I didn't really need them anyway. But after getting my Western Australia travel brochure in the mail yesterday I have a hankering to find a true Aussie pub/ restaurant. So maybe I'll go on a hunt this weekend.

Oh tim tams are my favorite cookie in the whole world. I like to nibble off the ends and do coffee or tea through them. You can now buy them at world market (cost plus).
I know what you mean about hiding the cookies.

The current Australian advertisment for tim tams involves a rather handsome male genie magicaly offering a woman her every desire... eg a wardrobe stocked beautiful clothing, a gourgeous bedroom but she just shakes her head saying no that's not what I want. She show's him the empty tim tam packet and looks at him wishfully and he fills it up then disappears. Previous ads have also used this genie - and the wish is always a never-ending packet of tim tams!

Now where do I find a genie...

Phoenix appears to be tim tam free??

Unless of course I go up to cost plus world market.
The only Australian food I could find in Phoenix is Bettys Burgers.. sigh..
    But I did find this...

apparently it's an Australian burger joint here in Phoenix. When I did a google search of aussie places out here all I got was Bettys Burgers and Outback steakhouse?? I looked at Bettys website, doesn't look like anything special to me..
