Thanks gals, I had a really great time.
Near the end of the ride we passed a kid dejectedly walking his bike. Bikerz and Mellisam asked how long he'd been walking. About 45 minutes. Since he didn't have a spare tube and we all had roadie pumps (reminder, another thing I need to get is one of those shrader/presta adapter thingies because you never know who you'll need to help or help you out)
Mel held an expert yet comical demonstration of how to patch a tube.![]()
Nice job gals. And while the 3 bikergals are helping this kid out, how many guys with MTB and everything one needs to fix a flat passed by??
Then back to the ride start and it being TE....everyone tried everyones bikes. Bikerz that is one sweet bike. I took my first spin on a Bianchi (still have never tried carbon) and Mel tried my Mendocino Marinara oh what's it called? Mondonico.
I was about to put my bike on the rack when up ride a whole bunch of ALC'ers who I know from previous rides. "We're having a BBQ after our ride, c'mon it's only 10 more miles and I can bring you back here" which is a good thing because I would have never found the route back.
So off we went.
