    Yay, Got the Bike!

Well, I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of my very own Specialized Dolce Elite She is very pretty and the guy at the bike store was really great and spent a lot of time making sure the fit was just right. I may take her for an inagural spin tomorrow, but if not, Tuesday, as long as it doesn't rain. And now to find more people in my area who cycle, who aren't really hard core and don't mind riding with a newbie. I don't mind going on my own, and I fully intend to, but it would be nice to ride with others sometimes.

Come join us in the MidAtlantic forum. We try to do one ride together every month, and some of us are not hard core and don't mind riding with a newbie.

Pictures soon- hopefully will take some tomorrow. I'm also picking up my sweet new helmet from the bike shop- they didn't have the one I wanted in the size that I wanted in the right color, so they're getting it from another location. I currently only have a pretty basic sport helmet, which is fine, but the road helmet looks better and in the long-run will be better for long rides, etc. Plus, the old one is blue and my new bike is white and purple. I know that you don't have to be all matchy-matchy, especially with clothes, but I feel like the helmet at least should go well with the bike to create a nice flow The new helmet is white and silver.

Your LBS should have copies of Spokes newspaper, they list rides and most bike shops have group rides as well.

    And congratulations!

Here are some pics of my new bike! I feel as though I need to name her- taking suggestions...

I tried taking a closer picture of the sweet fork, but I couldn't get it small enough to upload. Alas.

    Ooohhhhh... pretty bike!

What about... the White Stallion? Or Snow White? Or...???

Yea, uuuummm, I suck at naming bikes.

    Anyhoo, she's a beautiful bike!

    So, so pretty!

I probably shouldn't advise on bike names. Mine are named Myrtle and Lulu.

    The white is striking!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I had a Dolce up until a few months ago when my husband surprised me with a Ruby. My Dolce was a wonderful bike. I know will you will be very happy with her. The White with purple accents make it one pretty bike.

    Post your first ride report!!!!

I will! If it doesn't rain tomorrow evening, I will go. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until Friday and hope it doesn't rain. (Choir practice on Thursdays).
