SOmebody in our club is just going to get black cloth and tear it into strips. We sort of were going to have one last year - but tornado warnings closed us down, and it was only four or five of us (mayeb would have been a dozen with better weather?). This year, unfortunately, we have more reason so I *know* we'll have more people.

Yes!!! Ride is organized by local bike club. Hopefully the weather will hold, evening storms are common in the south.

Yes, we lost two cyclists last year that were big contributors to the Cincinnati Cycle Club. We are having three starting points and will be converging on city hall for the ceremony. From the way it sounds we will have many people there to show their support. TV crews, newspaper, the full works.

Just last Saturday we had a memorial and two ghost bikes put up at the scene of the accident. We had about 80 people show up, very nice. The driver is to be sentence at the end of this month and was convicter of six counts of aggravated vehicular homicide. Yes SIX - one for killing them under the influence, one for killing them while his BAC was above .08%, and one for reckless conduct. Not to mention his license was suspended to begin with. Since there were two victims, multiply that by 2! Max sentence is 32 years.

I just went to the site yesterday to see where ours was, and we're not having one this year in our city. We had one last year, but I guess nobody organized it this year. It's too late to get the word out and organize it, so I'll just ride with DH at 7 on Wednesday and we'll have our own ride.

Strangely, there was a RoS planned for here in Victoria, but now it's been removed. I'm trying to organize one -short notice as it is- maybe it'll work.
