I was just thinking about dinner and deciding that I'm going to do another food experiment and make something with tomatoes. I've been missing tomato sauces since the diet restrictions.....we'll see how I do.

According to the discomfort today, I did overdo it this weekend. I did not eat forbidden food, so I think this is primarily muscular. I promise to walk slowly and gently on my lunch break today. And here it is - lunch time!

    Cheerio!

I ate too much easter candy.

    I feel yucky.

But my taxes are done, and I got SKnot a new pair of shoes. (Brooks Beasts) The kid is a men's size 11!!!!! The shoes he was wearing were men's size 8!!!! He grew 3 sizes in just a couple months!

    Oh, deary me!

Next on the shopping list: getting him some Chacos. We'll wait on those until it's warmer and his feet have grown some more. Hopefully Sierra Trading Post will still have them on clearance by then.

I just bought my oldest another pair of Brooks Addiction, size 11. He goes through about 4 sets of running shoes a year. Dang those things are not cheap.

We have a Brooks outlet about 15 miles from me. (Brooks was based here in Bothell, WA. Now that Adidas owns them I don't know how much connection they still have with Bothell, but they've still got an outlet store!)

Beasts for $80, Addictions for $70. Not as cheap as you can sometimes find on Sierra Trading Post or buying them through a PT clinic (50% off if the clinic participates in the Brooks professional program), but worth it to get the right shoes right now!

I can't believe how much feet grow! And how fast! And how TALL SKnot suddenly got! He's as tall as me now! I swear last month he was still shorter than me!

when my older son was that age (the one you met with a beard)
He sat and whined one day that he couldn't put on his shoes. we thought he was just being obnoxious...and argued with him. but he was serious. His feet had grown.. we took him to the shoestore barefoot.
    But it wasn't 3 sizes, it was 1 1/2 or 2.

I took SKnot to the shoestore in a pair of my Chaco sandals, with his toes hanging off the ends!

I was trying to get him to put on clean socks, and he complained that the socks hurt his feet. YUP, he'd outgrown a pair of SOCKS!!! He hasn't outgrown socks in years! Now I gotta weed out all the size medium socks he still has, and start buying him more large socks.

DS#2 is like that too. I put it down to pre-natal nutrition and baby massage.
DS#1 is perfectly normal and DD is Classic Lithuanian (short, stocky and big tits and mouth).
It's sure expensive, but he's the only one .

    doggies

Ian & I went to the Shenton park dog refuge on saturday & spent two hours looking & pondering our thoughts.

Does anyone have a foxhoud? There's one that noone seems to want. We wouldn't be able to take it mtn biking as who knows what she'll find.

There's also a very nice kelpie cross that we discussed with the staff. They have all our details & he'll speak to the trainer to see if we're suited for the dog. We need a doggie door! We met the dog but it seemed more interested in smelling the exercise yard for doggie smells.

There was a greyhound as well & am more than happy to have one however it would get a bit lonely when the other dog would come mtn biking with us.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. We don't want a small fluffy dog

Perhaps i should start a dogggggggg thread.

HEy, stop feeding your kids & you won't have the problem of them growing.. Ikid Ikid

I need a bit more rain & perhaps i can grow taller. It's not worked yet though

Oh crud! So that explains it. I've been blaming my Mom all these years. **feverishly rooting through the cupboards for some coffee and cigarettes** how much do you think I have to drink and smoke to get them back down to a C cup? (I mean of coffee and cigarettes, Kit... )

Um, perhaps some things are best left generously proportioned?

(quick, Kit, hide the coffee and cigarettes over here! She'll never find them in my messy hovel!)
