My teammate & friend Charlotte nabbed third...she's been rockin' this season thus far. She's podiumed her last four races or so. She's a Cat 3 and I heard she really held her own out there....painfully but she held it, nonetheless. She said it was tactical there at the end. Sounded exciting & I'm reeeeally sorry I missed it. The guys from Merced (Stanislaus-Merlock) and the CVC guys did well, too. It was an awesome day for all ('cept moi....I was pouting at home! ).

I haven't looked past Santa Rosa yet....still nursing the hurt back, but I figure I can try this one and see how I do/feel from there. I've been fairly strong in training, our group rides have been fast lately, so we'll see.

Hope you can make it out to another one!

I'm racking my brain trying to remember the lady that was 3rd... it was a great race! The sprint at the end was pretty exciting!!! In fact, the women's race was almost more exciting than the pro/cat345 race at the end I remember seeing the Merlock team, and some women w/blue polka dot kits...

I wish I could go watch you at Santa Rosa but it won't work out this time ... I expect a full report though!!

Man, I SO wanna try track racing. I have an old Bianchi bike that was given to me that I probably can convert to track. All I need is another few hours in the day to work on it and money for new parts, wheels, etc. and I'm good-2-go. Not much to ask, is it?

Spazz, my husband has been going down there from time to time. He really likes it to the point we even picked up a track bike for him. He hasn't gone much this year, however, since he's concentrating his efforts on several road races for this year. (He's down in the LA area this weekend for one in fact).
