Silver....I am aiming to do the same here on Long Island, NY. I am thinking that going to the DOT. As a new board member of our bike club, I plan to ask them for suggestions and maybe some help as time goes by.
They actually never heard of the Ride of Silence until I brought it up, now I am the one putting it together. I figure, start with this and then I will bring up the Share the Road signs.
In the meantime let me know if you find out anything and I will do the same.

Oh, I definately will! No one here had heard of the Ride of Silence either. Another friend is going to organize that. Like I said our bike club doesn't seem interested in spearheading these things. And I could be completely wrong here. We plan to address them at their next meeting. But they seem to want to move on. The wreck happened on a club sponsored tour and although it was in no way their fault I think they don't want their event to be forever associated with the wreck. (I don't mean this in ANY way to be against the club I'm just trying to find some reasoning behind their actions)
