Good morning, Duck! You're right, and it's a risk I've had to take. I'm not terribly worried, though. When we moved in in June last year, there was no evidence that it had bloomed at all last year. And when my SIL, the award winning landscape designer, gave her recommendations for what to do with our overgrown yard, it was the only plant she recommended I move. When she said it was a peony, I was shocked. It didn't look like anything to me at the time. Besides, it was right in the middle of the corner we'll be developing as our "outdoor living room", so it had to go. It's now in a sunnier part of the yard, which I hope it likes, and as long as it grows, even if it does not bloom, I will be happy. Really, I'll be amazed at everything that survives and thrives under my care. I am so not a green thumb!

    Hugs & Butterflies,

AuntieK - man.. that is dedication!! Is there some limit to the number of entrants or something?

Violette - Sounds yummy. Isn't that a sign of good fuel - it stays with you and doesn't burn quickly?

Yep, LOTOJA tops out at 1000 riders. Last year I spent a couple of months on the waiting list before getting on. I still haven't registered for this year. Found out the registration didn't open until 1 pm. It's now after 1 pm and no sign of it being opened yet.

Any luck finding a lottery winner, roguedog?

One of mine bloomed for the first time last summer. I think I'd moved it once, thus delaying first bloom til age 4 or 5. Worth waiting for, though. Lovely! And yes, they like sun. Good luck with yours!

I have registered my oldest for kindergarten! Wow, what a weird feeling.

The new pup is doing great - she's adapted well to her new family and thoroughly enjoys "treeing" the cats and baying to her heart's content when she does.

I'm going to have to look up this body worlds thing now. It does sound exceptionally creepy. Ewwwww.

    Have a great day!

Mimi- I found my first grey at 19, wonder how my mom felt hearing that? MY dad has a gorgeous head of silver hair, I know who to thank for mine!

Why did my doctor feel he had to tell me ways to prevent a UTI? I do all those and still got one, thanks buddy! At least my boss told me to take the afternoon off without asking questions. Must be that I wasn't wearing makeup and looked pretty rough. Might be because he admitted having a hangover. Who has a hangover on Monday?

roguedog----that's a good one "good fuel" (I must remember that one), but I think the way I was sputtering and weezing, I must have been sucking the fuel from the bottom of the tank...
