*just sitting here laughing my head off at the image this fine looking gentleman in his late 60's strutting his stuff in spandex at the LBS*

I dunno - I love cycling, I love cycling apparel and I do so love the sight of a tight bodied fit male athlete but I have yet to find ANY man sexy in cycling apparel.

Yes.. even Lance. Sorry but geeeeze.. spandex shorts just don't do it for me.

How funny! A well-endowed man in lycra makes me want to look the other way. I bet the woman at the bike shop wants him to wear baggies! I call the bike shop quite a bit, too, and there are 2 attractive young men there. I'm sure they want to have an affair with me (I'm 58) because I wear lycra--hah!

I must say I love my dear sweetie's thighs in lycra. Actually the first time I saw him he was coming back from a bike ride - club kit, shades, helmet and all - and thought "wow! Very muscular young man!"

However when men stand on the podium after a bike race, I find it disturbing to be forced to see how "happy" they are to have won. Not a nice sight, indeed.

This being said, if poor Aunt Jean knew that everyone was talking about her and her husband's "endowment" on a bike forum she'd be shocked!!!

I also believe a well built guy (or gal for that matter) looks great in spandex.

and I do notice, and I do look sometimes...

I was around too many swimmers in wet spandex. Does nothing for me and neither do the bike shorts.

    That said --

You know, Aunt Jean might be right about her husband. In HIS mind he may have a thing for the woman at the bike shop and in HIS mind he may be strutting his stuff to show off, if he's so well-endowed he thinks he's gonna wow her.

    Poor Aunt Jean.

    Either way.

ETA: How many calls does somebody really make to the LBS? So many that it looks suspicious? Maybe, but my calls to the LBS aren't that frequent.

Of course, I can ask my questios here!

Yeah, but swimmers are COLD when they come out of the water.

OK, I'm totally cracking up here!
You girls are just too durn funny! I'm SHOCKED, I tell you!
    SHOCKED!

I remember the first time I saw my DH in spandex shorts and gloves and helmet...I thought I would just DIE he looked so good!
I LOVE the way most people look in cycle clothes- even average type people look great to me.

Poor Aunt Jean would feel the same way if her husband went to the library too often- she'd think he and the librarian were gittin' it ON!
