I took the day off so that I could see my thyroid doc for my 6 month checkup (all is well, numbers look great). Afterwards I treated myself to a nice lunch and decided to try and get a few miles in before the rain moved in to our area. Once again the wind was my friend for half of the ride and my foe for the other half. However, the 14 miles I squeezed in before drop of water started to weakly descend on me were 14 strong miles. I continue to be amazed at how much strength I've gained since I pulled my bike out three seasons ago and I'm loving every minute of it

The club is holding a 30/60/100 mile ride here in my town tomorrow and BF and myself plan on joining in on the fun. I don't think my legs are up to 100 miles yet but I'm going to do the 60 (I know most of the roads so for once I won't be in uncharted territory and if I get lost I'll be able to find my way home). It is suppose to be in the mid 70's tomorrow and the low 80's on Sunday - I'm loving this weather, even the wind.
