It was a great ride - considering - the weather was perfect, I had on 2 t-shirts and a vest I didn't even realize until I finished that I had sweated, I ended up riding for an hour all over the place, we have some major hills here and lots of nice riding around town. I was really uncomfortable with the seat so low but got over it, altho my back is very sore today. I thought I had a wrench to change it but I must have taken it out of my van. I even looked around for a garage so I could ask to use one they had, I never found one.
I am not real familiar with the area. I just let my thighs burn! I am amazed at the hills I can climb now! I remember last year how I could barely make it up some of these hills, now I just pedal on up them, it feels good to realize all that work/training has paid off.
I wonder, I have an old Sears mtn bike, very good condition the man barely rode it, I need to change seats, will a road bike seat be ok? I also do some mtn bike races, also should I put toe clips on a mtn bike? I have clipless pedals on my road bike and I use mtn bike shoes, I am not sure I would like clips on the mtn bike. Any suggestions?
