    Look what I found!

"Clocks" by Coldplay, performed by the 12 Girls Band!

sigh. Now I can go to sleep.

(PS, the video is NOT them playing. Just listen to the music.)

    difference

Queen (((((HUGS)))))) You may think you've not made a difference but YOU HAVE. No matter how insignificant you may feel right now, please let me tell you I admire the job you've done & obviously are a caring woman. We need more ladies like you in the world. Perhaps one day, one of those homeless folks may by some small chance get off the streets & if that small miracle happens, perhaps they may think of the lovely lady that truly gave a **** & tried to help change thier life.

(that doesn't mean we don't need more of x, kg, knot, bm, trek, kit & all the other lovelies that wander here)

Anywho..I did the Level 1 Tri technical officials course today Now I just have to remember the blocking & drafting rules.. I have to do a small exam & then a practical at a tri on April 1st. If I don't want to enter a tri, the least i could do is try & help in some other form.

    Take care

    C

Thanks so much to all of you for the kind words of support, it really helps. Today I'm feeling a bit hollow and I think I need to go out for a short hike to help clear my head. I'm leaving for FL to visit my folks next Tuesday and am so looking forward to just sitting on the sand and staring at the ocean for a long while.

X and Knott - Wild Geese was wonderful, thanks.

The song is "Clocks" from the album "Eastern Energy" by 12 Girls Band. It's available on iTunes. I might just have to buy it if I can't find the CD. Honestly, I like the 12 Girls version better than Coldplay's original version.
Remind me to check in the mess that is my car. We listened to it on the drive from Half Moon Bay but are you sure you took the CD out? I'm listening to Brad Paisley now

but it could be with the other CD's

((((((Queen))))))) I am a little late, but the sentiment is still there. The other posts did a fantastic job and I second and third them. You have made a difference and your next path will as well.

Enjoy the much needed and deserved break.

Queen--I'm a little late on the uptake, too, but wanted to remind you of that story about the kid on the beach tossing beached starfish back into the water. There are virtually hundreds of them, and a guy comes along and says to the kid, "There are too many of them. You'll never be able to make a difference." The kid answers, as he tosses one more into the water, "It makes a difference to this one."

You made a difference to all those you DID help. But you can't toss starfish into the surf all your life--time to move on. Good luck with your next adventure!

    Queen,
It sounds like you made a really tough decision. I think you were really courageous to do it in the first place!

May I ask what your new career is going to be?

Enjoy your hike, I hope it helps.

Hi Mimi, I'm going to be working at the local university library. I'll start there in the next three weeks or so and until then I'm just trying to process my old career and get ready to move on.

    Thanks again everyone.

wow, that's quite a shift, like 180 degrees!

and happy anniversary to me! My DH gave me an INCLINOMETER!!! (and I already put it on my bike). We've been married 29 years. I gave him a crank stand for his new bike - so he doesn't have to lean it up against furniture anymore.

thanks everyone for the kind wishes. The wonderful part of this, is that we have a very full marriage, you know, we're not just occupying the same space or living together because it's cheaper or more convenient.

    We're so lucky!
