In my neighborhood, if I wanted a breakfast of an egg white/veggie omelet with soy-protein sausages and whole grain pancakes, I could pick and choose my spots. For lunch I can get a plate of skinless mediterranean/rotisserie chicken breast with steamed veggies at any one of three places within walking distance of my home. My local pizza place offers whole grain crusts, light (or goat) cheese and all the healthy toppings you could ask for.

Yeah, we may be the capitol of earthquakes, fake boobs, freeways-disguised-as-parking-lots, serial killers and conspicuous consumption... but we know how to eat!
