The weather radar shows the bulk of the rain has passed, so I'm heading out to do some loops of the Alameda Creek Trail.

A great day for ducks and fenders.

First it was snow on Thursday now its buckets of rain. Oh well at least I know you will be good for a tow on Saturday.

Blue skies above Oakland now, but big ugly gray clouds over the east bay hills. Oh, well. I'm looking forward to the reschedule, and thanks for being so flexible, Trek420.

    Gah, it was wiiiiindy!

I only eeked out one full loop of the trail (~ 28 miles), after which the siren song of hot chocolate was impossible to resist.

Jo, I feel for you... the weather was too threatening, and it seemed really windy for a ride, so I went up to the dish at Stanford for a run.... I thought about you riding when I got to the top and man it was windy!!!!! I couldn't even imagine being on a bike by the bay! but you must have had one heck of a tail wind on the way home (at least I hope you did!).

But I had a good run... ran over 3/4 of the dish and made it up all the hills... yay!

Now watching the Wisconsin-Ohio State basketball game... GO BADGERS!!

No its going to be perfect conditions (at least thats what I keep telling myself). Are Bubba and Lee still riding?? A girl needs a windblock on hand just in case.

Its going to be perfect, its going to be perfect, its going to be perfect.

    I hope.

Right now it says "few showers" for Saturday, but what do they know??? If I wear my rain pants it may hold off the rain.

LOL - you wear those rain paints then. Now what have you got to stop the wind?

if at first you don't succeed

    Hi all,

Anyone up for giving this ride another shot this Sunday (3/4)? Weather's supposed to be lovely. Same time (10 am)? Let me know.

    Cheers,

    Ride on

Melissam and I are meeting on the Frontage Road in Emeryville (at the corner where you turn into Chevy's) at 10 am on Sunday for a nice ride on the Bay Trail. Feel free to join us!
