That ride was on a Saturday, I finished sagging with Thom sometime in the early AM Sunday, took Sunday off. Rode my 1.6 mile nearly all downhill ride to work on Monday morning and my legs were exhausted. Okay, so my commute does end on a little uphill.

But by Wed. I was fine because that day I rode my mountain bike up the Wall at Black Diamond without stopping for the first time. I'm not sure how long it is but my Krebs map for the section has five 3 chevrons and one 2 chevron for the climb. I was pretty pleased with myself. I hope to be back in that kind of shape by this April.

If the girl bits are being bothered it seems to me there is something up with how you're sitting on the saddle and it's adjustment for your particular anatomy. I prefer to ride with my saddle canted slightly up, I think it's because my handlebars are at the same height as my saddle. I made the mistake of changing my saddle position (lowering the nose) after the aforementioned ride and it took me awhile to get back to just where I liked it. I changed it because I didn't like how it felt when I ride in jeans to work. Duh - it's the jeans not the saddle. Jeans seem to have seams in all the wrong places for riding.

I like my current set up so much that the day we rode Diablo from the South Gate with Dita and Lisa I was wearing unpadded shorts.
