SPD multi release cleats

Do you know the original color of your cleats? Silver or brown?

The front of the multi release cleats is more tapered than the single release (but I suppose that doesn't help you much if you only have one set).

I don't have the shoes that have my multi release ceats here - but I think they have a little two directinal arrow on them (I'll check when I get home tonight)

I may be wrong but I think it means "if I do anything but pedal it releases, if I sneeze it unclips". It's what I have, very easy to get in....and out of the clips

It releases if you turn your heel out...or in .

aha! there are different kinds.
The kind on my shoes is SH51

the "Multirelease cleats" are SH56 and SH55.

what do you experts recommend??

Mine are SH55. I have not found anything that releases as well. That's what I brought on the Ride to Redhook because I knew it'll come out of any pedal.

mimi - you're just going clipless now, right? I'd get a set of multi release, I think the learning curve is easier. (I have multi's on my shoes too)
