I trained for the full after the Danskin, you should have enough time. It's a little close, but you really only lose 1-2 weeks of training.
Will I be there? Probably. I'm a glutton for punishment.![]()

Just a little bug of an idea, planted in my overheated brain, but...
I think I want to try walking the 1/2 marathon this year.
Anybody else?
I figure if I start training for that right after the Danskin tri, I should be ok.

I'll think about it. I've never done a marathon outside of Ironman. I might do my first in vancouver BC or Northern CA at the beginning of May.
Seattle just depends on how I feel after IM. Does it usually fill up?
Vancouver would be great in May, and not too far.
No, I don't think it fills up. I've never heard of them limiting entries. It's late enough in the year (week after thanksgiving) that it's usually pretty miserable weather, and it doesn't have the greatest reputation for spectators. Great city, though, gotta love it![]()
Thanks for the info Colby. I have family in Vancouver BC so that is making it look even more attractive. I'm just not 100% sure I want to do a marathon at all before IM.![]()
I'm running the 1/2 marathon in Vancouver in May. Let me know if you come along!
Hey Grog,
I was planning on sending you a note. If I end up coming to Van, I was wondering if we might go for a ride. I'll be "training through" the marathon. I think that the race is on Sunday, so I'd like to ride about 2 hours on Saturday. You might not be up to it if you're running, but maybe you know someone else who would like to go out for a casual cruise?
Okalee dokalee. The Universe seems to be lining up to push me to Van. I'll look into registration and PM you closer to time.![]()
