    If the pie's presence in your kitchen is respectful and sensitive, I see no reason it should not be allowed to stay without being made to feel in danger of being eaten. However, if it starts to show signs of being too cinnamon-laden, or starts to show an unnatural interest in the dirty dishes, it should be swiftly consumed.
