    rain

URGH...my commute took me 1hr...I rode in driving rain-that started half way through my ride & felt i couldn't just quit & hop on the train...Rain coming from all directions... I couldn't see well at all!!!

blech...Here I am trying to improve my morning ride & the weather decided not to co-operate..Rather embarrasing

My back feels better. Sitting with my back against something is still annoying but am working on core strength.

I adjusted my bike seat a smidgen smidgen & don't suffer the strange numb feelings in odd areas..

Why doesn't bike journal work in KM's???

    HOw about an msn community?

rain rain go away..I want to be able to see!!!

if you made the whole ride in the bad weather, you DID improve your ride.
Just not your speed/average, etc. Character Improvement!

I have mine set to km. I think I must have done it in the profile or whatever.

I only get migraines once every couple of years so don't know what precipitates them. I suspect last night's had something to do with too much healthy living after 2 weeks of decadence. Yesterday I only ate 1200 calories, burned off 400+ on the bike, NO coffee, NO sugar, NO booze. Aaack, just severe withdrawal I guess.
You can get SEVERE headaches if you suddenly stop drinking coffee/caffeine.
I've had them (in my heavy coffee days), and they can be really splitting and last for days. Nowadays I mix my coffee 1/2 decaff and only have 3 cups a day or so, and it's not a problem.

Yeah I wondered about the coffee but I only drink one cup a day and sometimes I hardly touch it because I'm in a hurry. If I was heavily into caffeine I could buy it. Anyway, I was feeling a bit off all day, mostly due to lack of sleep and I had a bit of a headache but not bad. My legs and back are sore from riding though - boy it sure doesn't take long to lose it. Only a month since I rode hard....

Maybe the sudden drop in calories or sugar is activating some hypoglycemia or something...headaches are a symptom of it...

KG _ you got me to thinking _ I can get Killer sinus headaches the day after hard rides at times - you mentioned your legs are sore.
Boy, we really dropped the post down when we moved? Or is everyone in bed?

The new location has some of the girls frightened.

Now that I'm brave and can go to movies on my own - next up is Pan's Labyrinth. It opens on Friday here, at my favorite theater. Yay!

    Why???
I too would like to bemoan the move of TD. You see, as hard as it is for me to admit, I <tense moment of silence> am a triathlete.

At first I thought it a little odd that TD was in our forum. Then I was curious and tried to follow along. I have failed at actively engaging myself in TD, I simply could not keep up and I felt like a creepy voyeur. But I appreciated TD's presence, you made us look much more popular and interesting. The forum was getting more hits than it ever will without TD.

Now, we just look like the bunch of geeky, type A, heartrate checking OCs that we are.

PS - Triathlon was a great place to hide. Triathletes are too busy training for 3 disciplines to follow the lightening speed posting of TD, so I'm sure most of us gave up trying. Note: I did not make it around to posting this until a whole day or two had passed since the move.
