So how's 2007 look so far? We've still got a few hours before our first peek at it. Should we look forward to it with hope or dread?
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

Happy 2007 to those who have already rung in the new year and a happy new year to those of us who are patiently waiting. A happy 53rd wedding anniversary to my mom and dad - they are a cute couple and I love them!

A big thank you to all of you wonderful, encouraging, inspiring ladies (and Mr. Silver, too)

May your 2007 be filled with love, health, fun, challenge, joy, change, acceptance, delight, people and critters you love and many many many many kilometers (or miles) on your favourite bike(s)!

Now go out and enjoy the snow or the mild weather or whatever you have where you are!

    Hugs and butterflies,

    Happy New Year to all!!!

And the year is off to a very good start! Waking up late, already starting with one of my new years resolutions of doing some yoga in the morning, having pancakes for breakfast and now it just started snowing! Finally! If only we could get another 6ft in the next couple of hours so BF and I could get a little skiing in before heading back to England tomorrow morning.

Heh - made me do a little double take there. "How the heck can it be snowing in Essex and sunny in London?" Duh.

2006 was hard work for this little diva. Here's to a great 2007 for us all.

Always with HOPE For all the bad we see, there is countless good everywhere around us. We only look at the bad and focus on it because it represents the unusual in a sea of goodness!

I forgot to note that on New Year's Eve day DH and I were riding 20 miles in the cold of winter down some wooded country roads, and a beautiful Eastern bluebird flew right across our path and off into the fields beyond. We took this as a sign from the fabled "bluebird of happiness" that 2007 was going to be a good year.

Happy new year to all! I spent all day cooking spicy lental soup and banana bread. Good eats to start off the year.
