WOW - you guys have been chatty since my last log on. But I guess it has been about a week so it stands for reason. We have been remodeling our kitchen but with work and all its a slow process. I've missed you guys (sorry you are sick MOM - hope you feel better real soon. Of course, I imagine your son wishes it moreso than me ).

I just read the post of the "strongest Dad" - I'm blubbering like an idiot and my nose is all runny.......

AG - I really hope the date goes well and he calls you again. **Crossing fingers next to OTG.** What kind of concert? Have fun tonight!!

How's about a ride on Sunday? I think OTG is setting something up. Might be the last good w/e for a long time... the wind is really howling out there.
Well, I've got an appearance to make at a local club. It's time to catch up with a special friend.

    update and off to vacation!

hello everyone. just a quick update before i head out for vacation.

went to the foot dr today. love the dr. she is super nice. though she wanted to do one foot then the other. i played the "i live in the bush and its hard to get to town card" so she agreed to do both feet at the same time. i had to promise i would stay off them for no less than 2-3 weeks or more. that means hello wheel chair. i rather be put up for a few weeks than 6-8 months. i'm ok with this, now. she said its going to hurt.... BAD! oh well. i'll bite the bullet. she thinks i'm crazy, i think i am too, but i'm stubborn enough to do it this way. i'll probably do it in the first part of january.

i'm off to the philippines tonight at 2 am. i'll be back on the 21st. ya'll have a wonderful month. kit and X take notes and keep me updated if anything happens that i should know about.

one last thing... i saw a movie in the theater last night, big thing for me. anyhow. i saw Casino Royale. ok so my modivation for it was eye candy, 1st bond movie i've seen. couldn't tell you much that happened but there were some great shots of "bond, james bond" in it. yozers! highly recommend it.

try not to have to much fun without me. i'll be thinking of you while i'm gone and relaxing.

CC-Have an awesoem time this weekend.

Kit-I am glad the card arrived and provided some entertainment.

Nanci-Have a wonderful ride. I do so hope things turn around for Roy and your daughter finds peace.

Lise-Congrats to your mother. Have a wonderful weekend with J.

Trek-I love the fact your dog finds her new bed a chew toy. I am also glad to hear you know you are not bullet proof.

Dar- I am sorry to hear you are getting blown off. They have no idea what they are missing. Have a safe trip and a wonderful visit with Scott. He is in my prayers.

AG-No snow in my section of Ohio. It finally cooled off. I was feeling better do I went for a late night jog-not a run, a slower paced jog. It was lovely and cold.
I hope you are having a great time tonight! My fingers are crossed as well.

CWR-I am happy the doctor was nice and you stood firm (no pun intended). 2-3 weeks is much better than drawing it out. Enjoy your vacation! You will be missed! Be safe.

X-have a great time tonight. I am alive and feel fairly good after going for a cool, snowless, but windy jog.

Knot-my appetite is back, what is for dinner? You always make the best meals.

BMo3 - here's what I had for dinner: hot chocolate, corn chips, pickled herring, dark chocolate, more corn chips, some cheese, more hot chocolate.

Not a stellar night at Chez Knot.

I have left-over chicken soup in the fridge, but i'm sick of it. gotta bag it and freeze it tonight.

I do wosh I loved closer to Chez Knot, I would be popping by for a bowl of chicken noodle soup. That sounds so good right about now. I could clean for my dinner.

C'mon over! I've got this chicken soup, plus frozen baggies of 2 others. (next up: beef and mushroom soup this weekend)

I love my dog. I dunno what I'd do without him. Knew a woman once who named her dog "Paxil" because he was the best antidepressant she'd ever taken.

Could name mine "Zoloft" "Ambien" "First Alert" and "Gym Membership".

Uh oh. I went way over my WW points today. The siren song of the bacon cheeseburger won over my will power. I have 5.5 flex points to last until Tuesday.

Heh. Dinner at la Maison du Renard was sort of drawn out b/c I was starrrrrving when I dragged the bike in the house. Made a cheese/mayo sandwich first off and ate it as I was waiting for my rice to finish. ...got done with the sandwich and just ate cheese. Put the cheese/bread/mayo away, and looked at the cashews in the cupboard. Ate a couple handfulls, and the royal jelly (in honey) caught my eye. Put a couple more handfulls of nuts in a bowl and drizzled with honey. Ate with a spoon. Mmmm. Rice was done. 1st bowl full had hoisin sauce. 2nd has melted butter. Mmmm.

still considering a cider, if I can get permission...

He's a Mystery Mutt from the humane society. Best guess is some kind of collie/shepherd mixed with setter. He's got incredibly long wavy hair that I have to keep trimmed. People with Australian shepherds often think he's an Aussie, and folks with Entelbuchers often think he's one of them. (the little version of the Bernese Mountain dog)

His siblings at the pound really looked like setters, he was the odd duck of the bunch. The only black puppy. The others were white with big liver, gold, or black patches. When I visited he was the only one who hadn't been adopted yet, the others had homes they were just waiting to go to.
