But would it explain LBW when the batsman is facing a leg spinner?
Also it doesn't deal well with tactics - whether to go in or stay out when you win the toss, when to take the New Ball, when to declare; or field placement eg when does 3rd slip become short cover, and we won't even go into silly fine leg!
