Welcome GypseyAngel! Way to go losing 40 lbs! I am so impressed with you gals who lose so much. WW is a pretty good way to go for a lot of people. I use sparkpeople although I know not everyone likes it, it sure works for me. My preferred form of exercise is biking but I am trying to incorporate weights at home now too. Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome, kelownagirl. The 40 lbs I lost was over last winter and as it has started creeping back on again I need to stop it. Plus as I said I still have another 50 to go.
My favorite exercise has become cycling. Last winter I did a spin class and weights.
I'm a firm believer in doing whatever plan works best for you. I can't knock anyone elses food choices or diet plan if it works for them. We are all different and what works for me may not work for everyone. I'm not familiar with sparkpeople but I'm going to look it up out of curiosity.

    Best of luck to you!

Congrats OTG and Gypsy Girl. I have lost all the weight I plan to lose. I do not have any desirte to go any lower. My size 6s look fine to me. I am merely focusing on maintaining and hopefully building more lean muscle. I have been maintaining for 3/4 of a year now. It is wonderful, With all I burn off, I need to consume about 2200 calories.

    Gypsy,

You are more than welcome! We defintely need more people to weigh-in.

Congrats on the loss! That's great. But get back at it so that you don't keep sliding back to where you were. The only thing worse than gaining back 10 pounds is gaining 11, then 12. You can do this, girl! And we're all here for you.

I still need to lose something like 80 pounds, and if I am able to do that I'll still be considered an athena. So I definitely know how it is when you have so far to go. It's tough sometimes to avoid getting discouraged and at times it's scary. But I try to just focus on getting to the next week.

I personally am tracking my calories and exercise and striving for 55% carbs, 20-25% fat and 20-25% protein. In the spring when the season starts, I'll probably go for 60-20-20.

I also attend T.O.P.S. meetings, which are the nonprofit version of Weight Watchers. Oh, and I exercise 6 days/week for a total of about 8-9 hours/week and am working with a personal trainer who is a cyclist.

I am SO glad your scale was wrong at the gym
That scale was dead on -- I had a weeklong bingefest. But it was that time of the month, so some may have been water weight, etc. In any case, I'm glad that's over.

Bikingmomof3... congrats on losing the weight you want to lose! I can't wait to be able to say that!

Offthegrid... You are absolutely right about stopping the backslide of weight re-gain. I've been there before and one pound leads to 2 which leads to 10 and 12, etc. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know the overwhelming feeling of "so much more to go" but as you said... one week at a time!

Good luck everyone! Nice to meet you all!
