Mimi, no rain yet. At the most I'll be able to leave at 4:00 cuz I skipped lunch. Of course, I'm hungry now since half my lunch was missing Have fun at the bike shops - let us know what you get!

That's awful beyond words. I mean the sound fx w/ the card etc and so on. thems fightin' words.

CWR- I'm not so sure that's 'action'. I'll refrain from the usual "If men could..." quip and just say... nope, doesn't qualify.

I hadn't downloaded that until just now... now the sound is etched forEVER in my mind. thanks lots...

Dar - uh, yeah, what Kit said. PM me if ya wanna talk further.

mimi - good for you woman! That's how I got started clipless. Made a big difference. Glad I found out about making the tension lighter first on TE. Still can't detach my left very well even with them soft like that. So, I'm a righty when unclipping. Gonna have to get outside to use that new shirt mimi. So when's the big launch?

BMo3 - Thank you for the wonderful talk tonight. Both of them. So relieved you liked the package. hey, your kids are in the chocolate again. Better keep it under lock and key! Of course, I have more anytime you need it. Remember, one dark and one light together. The local way. We'll turn you Dutchy yet.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Take care TE TD'ers and be safe. T-giving is a free day. Eat all ya want!!

Never fear, canuck, there was plenty of warm headwind in Chch tonight. Made for a lovely ride back down Main North Road at the end of tonight's ride, but I was quite glad to be riding behind two biggish blokes most of the way out ('cept when the b******s made me take my turn ). We rode too quickly though - there was still plenty of light to mow the lawn by when I got home.

It's so past my bedtime. G'night all.

I'm not keeping my fingers crossed as i don't have enough "Australian Experience" but hey ya never know.

I'm quietly looking for a new job..very quietly...

Pumpkin pie is in the oven. Cornbread (for the stuffing) is done. Blueberry pie waiting for the oven. Need to do some house cleaning before my sister and BIL arrive. Things are under control. Rain should be starting soon.

    Everyone have a good day.

Happy Turkey (or Tofurkey if you prefer) Day Thread Drift! Pumpkin Pies are made, pumpkin mousse to go on top is in progress - then we load up and head to Grandmother's house (though not quite over the river and through the woods).

Glad the nor' easter is gone - we should finally see sun today. Sorry for all of you who are getting ready to get it Maybe those of us in NC will be able to get a ride in today (after lunch, of course...)

Hi, CC. You asked a while ago if Mr. Salsa and I were going to do Lake Taupo this year. Not THIS year for sure---between all the stuff with my mom, and the house expansion, we won't have time or money for any kind of real vacation. We need to win the lottery, except that we're too cheap to PLAY the lottery...Anyway, Lake Taupo is a future aspiration.

I don't think you'll be all alone on T'giving weekend, or even today! All we do is eat turkey and stuffing like total hogs, and by late tonight we'll be on TE TD bemoaning how hoglike we feel. You can enjoy our oinking later today. Hope the weather in WA is still nice!

Regards to the TD world, girls.

    Happy T-day, all!

My sweet niece Maya is on her way over to play with me for a few hours, then J. and C. (his 17 yr old daughter) will pick us up to go to my sister's for dinner.

J, C, and I went to see Wicked last night, then to a late night dinner at The Italian Village, a fun, cool, old Italian restaurant downtown. We had a really nice time. She's a sweet girl, and, while I'm sure we were all nervous (OK, *I* was nervous ), we had fun. The kid's grown up in the South, and has never had pumpkin pie. I know. Shocking. We'll fix that today.

My scaredy-cat, Ariel, who almost always hides when new people come over, walked right up to C. and accepted petting. She did the same thing the first time J. came over. This is a very good sign, I think! Either they are good people with peaceful, loving energy, or Ariel's gone completely senile.

Have a great day, ladies! L.

Yes, I think animals (particularly cats and my ferret) are great judges of character! They seem to pick up on things that we don't. Of course, my golden loves everybody

CA - My great big golden (Agnes) has a very keen sense about whether someone is nice or nasty. On several occasions when we've been out walking, she'll start her "mean dog" growl into her "open a can of WA" bark when we encounter certain strangers. They keep their distance (she's 96lbs and tall/long for a female). Conversely, she will submit to for a free belly rubs with other folks. My two less-intuitive goldens don't seem to have that sense--they just want to be admired and petted.
