    Giving thanks (the Lord or entities of your choice, I guess) for the harvest (and others good things of life) has always been my understanding. We have the same holiday in Canada but earlier (because there is frost earlier here...).

    Happy Thanksgiving to all our American TEers!

    Happy Thanksgiving, my dear TE American friends!

    I'm thankful for (in no particular order)
    this wonderful home that the universe held onto for us while DH worked so hard to sell the old house;
    for my great new job that is so full of challenges and opportunities and great supportive people who let me shine, and who I am happy to help;
    my DH - I have no idea who I would be without him these 23 years;
    my wonderful furry kids: Ted, 'Cuda, Diva and Otto...and my rainbow kid Yogi;
    my eye, and the camera that lets others see what it sees;
    this physical difficulty I'm trying to work through as it helps me to slow down and listen to my body better, and to learn to love and accept it even when it isn't fit strong and fast;
    medical benefits;
    wine;
    roses;
    swans;
    3m flags;
    the TE friends that remind me of how wonderful people can be;
    my new photo customers;
    plumbing school for DH;
    the bikes!! (I know you'll be ready for me when my body is ready for you again);
    the dark starry sky when I rise to do yoga;
    the comforts of home

    I'd better stop now, you all get the idea!

    Hugs and butterflies to everyone,
    ~T~

    I am thankful for...

    My wonderfully supportive and loving husband.
    My happy, healthy boys.

    Food, clothing, shelter
    My husband has an excellent job with fantastic benefits.
    Wonderful doctors, especially my Neurologist.

    I'm thankful for many things, of course, but this Thanksgiving, I am especially thankful that our 14.5-year old Boston Terrier, Pepper, turned up way down the road in a neighbor's garage after she ran off during a walk yesterday at dusk with my DH. She slid out of her harness after getting wrapped around a tree (on a Flexi-lead), it got dark and started pouring, and DH and I spent an hour in the cold, dark rain searching for her all over our wooded 11 acres, the horse trails behind it, the road, thinking she might die out there the very night before Thanksgiving. Couldn't call to her because she's stone deaf, along with being night-blind, and the rain prevented us from hearing her running around.

    I am thankful for kind neighbors and for my Pepper being alive on this day.
