Everyone's posting pics of them and SOs... should I post a pic of me and DGF? I don't think everyone's seen it- my fave one anyway... Hope this doesn't come out huge...

Taken moments after we 'met' at the Oregon Country Fair. At that point, she didn't even know my name. Sadly, right after we moved in together, my digicam died, so I don't have much more for pics of us... But this one's my favorite

Ah, hair henna-ing. So much cheaper than dye. $5 for maybe 3 or 4 dyes (if you have short hair...) but I can never get past the weirdness of spreading warm, wet organic sludge through my hair.

I know I should time it, but I like the element of 'surprise'. just put it on, put on the obligatory plastic cap and then a warm woolly stocking cap and let 'er go for a couple hours. Will it be red, or will it be vibrantly orange/red? Who knows?

Knot- that sounds so good... hot chocolate, peppermind schnaaps (or white creme de menthe) and all the TD gals 'round. *happy sigh*

this is cuddlin' weather.

Kits - YES! I want to see real picture of you. You remind so much of my youngest daughter.

I'm in the mood for coffee and baileys myself. Not a good plan since the wine and TD threw me off doing reports last night

Kelowna,
Yes we both have kids but they were pretty grown up already when Brian and I met 7 1/2 years ago. All 3 kids are in their 20's now (2 girls mine, 1 son Brian's).

Kit, that's a lovely photo- too cute that you had just met.
Henna...did it once, but over my natural dark blonde hair, and it came out looking like a carrot on fire. Looked really awful on me. But happily I like my silver streaks now and don't even have to "deal" anymore. Don't even really have to brush my hair- it just looks fine ruffled around a bit in the morning.

Here's a couple of my favorite pix:

woo woo!!!! nice pics There's a sign I pass every day on my way to work. Someday I'm going to get a pic of myself in front of it.

Flaming carrot- yeah, that's about accurate. my hair goes from naturally reddish brown to ashen blonde, so when I henna it, the ashen blonde bits are 'flaming carrot' and the natural reddish brown bits are more auburn, so it comes out looking pretty 'natural' if not especially um...vibrant.

Am I the only whose right hand is always freezing from holding the mouse? I need to wear one glove I think...

oh, that happens to me too- esp at work. On my mac, I think the memory is on the left side... and on my boss's computer, the fan is on the left, so either way my left hand is always warm enough... mice... not much heat there...
OH! I thought the same thing about the 1st pic. It'd be a great 'American Gothic' setup!
Thanks for the compliment. I'm all anxious to have her home this afternoon. It's rainy, so it's perfect cuddlin' weather.

The teenager in me wants to drag her out to the sign on my route to work to take a pic, but I doubt she'd go willingly.
(and unlike Knot, I won't delete this- not b/c I know better, but because I'm silly that way, and my voice of reason doesn't read TD!)

X- I've edited this space too much because I can't think of a good way to say what I wanted, so n/m. *huff*
