Margo: glad the you are here! Who cares about the number of boobs

TE TD: for clarification, I like straight folks (just not that way, ya know). And Independent Fabrications makes bikes with straight forks that I like the look of. I think it's the contrast.

I like the the way straight carbon unpainted folks look in contrast with painted bike.

    Nanci, sorry about the snake

Izzy sounds like a good name - now you have to find a snake!

Straight carbon forks - That's just it folks, most of them are carbon - they soak up the road shock because of the material they are made out of. I've got them on my carbon bike - they are GREAT! But, I also like a fast handling bike as well

Hubby is on his way to Sanibel Island Florida today. I leave on Monday! We're going out to visit my inlaws - Don't worry, they aren't typical inlaws, I actually like them a lot. A change of scenery with some humidity doesn't sound too bad at all!

Spoke, have a great time at Sanibel. Have you ever been there? It's gorgeous. That is very close to where I did my 200k last Saturday. Watch out for panthers! (Just kidding, I don't think they get out there.) Don't forget the Stingray Shuffle!!

Great to see you, DD! Good luck getting caught up on TD!

    I'm missing the fishdr...

TGIF indeed. End of a long week, and tonight I get to be with J, going to dinner with him and two of my dear friends, Debbie and Mike. Then tomorrow he and I are driving to Galena, a pretty town on the Mississippi River, western edge of Illinois. I'm packing hiking gear; if the weather's decent, we'll hike some trails in the Mississippi Palisades State Park. I'm mostly looking forward to spending time with him. I feel at ease and happy when we're together. What a novel experience! As a friend says, "A good relationship is the "er" in my life. Alone, I'm happy. Together, I'm happier." Have a great weekend, TD'rs!

    Yep, Nanci I've been there

    Nanci:
It's where my inlaws live so I've been there several times. Last time, was last Spring.

I always enjoy my stay - don't think I would exchange Flagstaff for Sanibel (too many people) but it is a great place to go visit.

Do you know if there is anywhere near there that is good for surfing?

    Dear Lise
it's a good sign that you are comfortable to be with old friends when you are with J.
I'm happy for you. Sounds like it's about time for a size 2 gal like you

Tell me about it! Thanks, Mimi.

I do love the sound of "size 2".... Nowadays I'm a 10, but I'm pretty convinced that the 10's of today are the 12's of yesteryear! They've gotten so goofy with the "vanity sizes" that I've actually bought some skirts labelled size 6. Now, hold them up to a size 10 skirt, and yes, same amount of fabric! So what'er the true little women wearing? Negative sized clothing? Ah, but back to calling me a size 2....

Please tell me you wrote "folks" on purpose. Cuz I'm just laughing my carbon-based lifeform butt off.

Huh, I read that and my first thought was "er" as in: "Er.... how the HECK to we manage *THIS* new wrinkle?"
