Kit, honey, you are a brave woman. You did the right thing. I don't care what the managment thinks, I know you did the right thing.

Gold stars for you, my dear.

X- glad to hear it was mostly pain free.

KIT - Glad it all turned out ok. I too would have done the same thing. But I am a non-conformist.

BOM3 - I too keep dropping the lb-age (yay for us!) so I am all for cheap right now as I have been changing a size about every two months. Lee Riders seem to be working for me right now and they are only about $16 at Wally World (high waisted but they will do). Once I drop two more sizes I will look into the Lucky Brand. Sounds like they would be exactly what I am looking for. (I love Ebay - Ebay is my friend).

What's going to get me is a catch-22. If I say the guys came along for my safety, I'll get pinched b/c I didn't call the police. ...though I didn't believe the police to be really necessary. The guy was upset, yes, but it would've been worse to have the police there just to confront him and say he wasn't to be there... I'd have rather called once he proved himself threatening. Then again, if I didn't feel threatened, then why did I let the guys come with me in the first place?

...because I'm freakin 5'4 and barely over 100#... EVERYONE threatens me!!! *sigh*

Kit, so did you ever kiss the manager on deck and your emergency personnel?

    I'm 5'1"....I'd be scared too!

You did the right thing. That was very brave.

Not gonna say who'd I wanna kiss after that kind of stress.

(wouldn't be the manager... But I might give him and the emergency bears a big plate of cookies.)

Kit, lemme getcha a beer and a big ol' bowl of piping hot chicken stew. Sit right here in the rocking chair. Trek, will you rub her feet while I get her a blanket? Oh, wait, I'm the therapist; ok honey, you get the blanket while I rub her feet.

Oh, look, SKnot is giving you the remote for the TV. And the dog is bringing you his favorite toy.

    You did the right thing.

And we all know it. No matter what.

No, I didn't kiss 'em, but I think the tone in my voice when I tell him I'm leaving in a week will say it all.

It's sad when good deeds and acts of bravery are punished or prevented by fears of legal or managerial repercussions...

    hey

Kit...You did the right thing. YOu're leaving the bunk of a place anyways.

Oh and I could be at Knotted's place with some Australian wine, tim tams, some Cold Chisel, AC/DC, Eskimo Joe, Kylie and Robbie music.
(btw..do stations play Eskimo Joe in the US?? Did ya know they're from Western australia!!! The song title is "black fingernails, red wine")

Umm i'd like some stew for dinner, do you have a container to send me some? It's only 1145am atm so i'm sure it'll still be ok for dinner.

Kit, I don't quite get some of the numbers you're posting on the humour board...I feel a wet fish slap is in order...

Must go and finish cleaning house and repair bike.

Kit-you definitely did the right thing! I am so glad you will be leaving that place soon.

X-the procedure still sounds icky (have I mentioned I hate tests?)

    Fredwina-I loved the links.

Knot-I would love some chicken stew. I would need to eat in a separate area, so I would not spread my cold to all of you.

CyclChyk-I am finally down to where I want to be, a size 6. (yippee). Now I just need to keep building lean muscle and lower my body fat %.

CC-I did not understand the numbers either.

You did the right thing Kit - who knows how that guy might have behaved if you went out there alone.

I like the term emergency bears.

Chicken stew sounds a whole lot better than the Lean Cusine I had tonight. But the good new is, I've avoided the cookie trap so far today!

My friend is getting me up at the crack o' dark tomorrow to go to the flea market again. Maybe I'll bring my camera for chits and giggles.

OK - who asked me about retiring? It will be anytime between March 2007 and March 2012 . It will really depend on how thing go at work in the next year. I am truly bored right now, and can't imagine staying until I'm 55.

    My waist's a 5, my hips are a 7, and I'm 116#. Where IS all that?! Last time I was 116, I was a size 3! (even though that was 9th grade...)

I'm glad you guys support me in this... I just spoke to the lady who was so upset... she confirmed my feelings in that the police weren't necessary, but that it was a good idea to have someone go with me. I told her that if she was so concerned, she needed to get a restraining order in place. I'm not sure how much they cost (working here, cost is a definite concern for anyone) but if she was so concerned for her safety, it would help her a lot...

You guys are great, btw... I really love being able to post here.

The numbers are 'leet' speak... 5 for s, 3 for E and the like... It helps to just glance at it and pretend they're all just characters without making the distinction between letters/numbers. It's all well and good until you start trying to print things quick and throw numbers in where they don't belong... :P

*resists urge to comment on Knot's booty*

The perfect 'a$$-tap' can be achieved by very slightly cupping the hand and making contact with the lower part of the fingers, making a flicking motion of the wrist rather than a full-arm motion. The sound achieved should be a nice, sharp "tap" instead of a "fwap", "putch" or "Ca-RACK!"and while loud enough to be audible, be nearly painless.
Much practice is recommended. As much as necessary.

There we go, a lesson for the TD TOC

Kit (((HUGS))) let me echo the "you did the right thang" here missy. Cuz you're an intelligent woman darlin'. And if you had your glasses on you could have given him the Linda Hamiliton Terminator look - that would have scared me.

Knot, can I have a bowl? Pretty please? I only had a piece of string cheese and some Sun chips for supper. OK SNAP - I cracked and had one cookie! drat it all.....

Tonight is one of my on the road bringing my baby to his dad's trips so that's why supper is cruddy. I only have enough time to run to dc, pick him up, run home and let the dogs out while B goes potty and if I'm lucky I can get a sandwich in him before we hit the road. Tonight he wanted Sun chips and I cracked.

Half way there my ADORABLE son says he want's to stop at the bike store (that's my boy!) and when we get to the drop off place he crys and won't let go of my leg cause he wants to go back home with me. Breaks my heart when he does that.

BMo3 - I think you've earned a donut. Just don't let it become a habit or we'll have to send Super Kit over to remove the donuts and no one gets hurt. I haven't tried under armour yet but I did buy some polyprop long undies and a balaclava on my way home. I'll be running this weekend and some ya-hoo is calling for snow flurries tomorrow. Whatever.

X **sighs** the places I could go with your post - it's almost too easy so I'll let it go. Have fun and remember, you may be cheap but you're not easy. You must have standards!

Lise, I will give a full report but we need one from you too! Have fun at the play with your mom and enjoy the J/family meeting.

Alright, I'm cold, tired and hungry (apparently Knot's stew doesn't just magically appear upon thought). So I'm off to bed. Alone. Again. Wait, I see a border collie who wants to snuggle Zeus, Xena and I are off to get some beauty sleep. Sweet dreams TD - I'll check back tomorrow.
