KSH....I am very interested in seeing pictures of your Maltese. We lost our Beagle a little over a year ago (old age) and my 4 year old misses him terribly. My DH and I have been thinking a lot of finding another dog to care for. I know you said no children preferbly but he is great with animals, loves any and all kinds.
