    I'm down to one bantam, I miss my others that died (one of old age, the others an evil night critter) anyhow, we need to build a nice chickenhouse, next spring perhaps, I love feeding them and caring for them-I had about a dozen. Jennifer

    I used to have ducks. They were pretty fun, and great eggs! Not much fun to try to keep the coop clean when everything is frozen solid though.
    I remember when I first bought some ducks, from a local farmer. I asked him "How will I know when they're sick?" He replied "When they're dead." (Actually, not too far from the truth, because birds get sick, die, or recover pretty quickly as a rule.)
