    ding, ding, ding!!!!

    adventure girl gets the prize!!!!!
Yep, our very own studette (she really is, I've seen her in person!!) Ms. Melisa is racing in less than two weeks!!!!
I expect ALL of the TE tri babes- and others too of course- to be GLUED to Ironmanlive.com for all of the latest updates and streaming video of the race. Unfortunately I'll be in NYC in the thick of the marathon (spectating, not running) so I'm going to count on Lise and Nanci for FREQUENT race updates via cell phone!! And now I have a treo, so I can even text!! WHOO HOO!!
I just KNOW that Melisa is going to ROCK that race!!! I'm looking for a sub 6 hour bike split from her, she is a STUD on the bike!!! No cutoof chasing worries with her thats for sure!!

    Melisa

Where are you staying? When are you going? We will be in the scummy but cheap Travelodge on Front Beach Road (not on the beach) one mile from the host hotel. Thursday through Sunday. Don't forget you have to check in Thursday- you can't on Friday. (That was a last minute surprise for us last year!)

OMG - a whole thread just for me!! You gals are going to give me a big head! I might think I could win this thing. LOL!

Yep, I'm 2274! Its going to be my new favorite number at least till next Sunday night! I'm heading down to the bike shop to send off Malibu Barbie today... I'm a little nervous, but I know she will be in good hands till I can pick her up next week. This taper thing is... well, the taper is a PAIN! I have way too much time on my hands to imagine every little thing that I might forget, but I guess with all those tri people down there, I'm sure if I forget something, I can beg, borrow or steal!!

Nanci - we're staying at the Boardwalk Beach Resort. We get in on Wednesday afternoon, and I'm going to register on Thursday. Is your BF excited??? Is this his first?? I'll send you a PM with my cell number, give me a call, I'd love to meet you and your BF in person!

And, let me take this opportunity to tell you that RM rocks, too!! She joined me on my last six hour ride and if it weren't for her, I am sure I woudn't have even started that ride! It was dark, rainy and way, way out in the middle of nowhere!! Thanks, girlfriend, I really appreciate it...

It's his third iron distance race- Great Floridian in 2004, IM Florida 2005. He's in the Kona lottery- so, what is that, four years and then you get to go?
