why, yes, Salsa, i am coming out of 3 weeks with too much overtime. They wanted me to work THIS weekend too and i said i couldn't. It took 2 days of begging the other guys before they came up with a replacement for me.
    wahwahwah..

The colors you are picking are beautiful.

And speaking of colors, while we are saying nice things about KY, she has the most beautiful skin and hair color too. The day I met her the sun was out (and she was trying to hide from it) and her hair is a beautiful color!

I am rather unhappy, I am trying to get ready for my trip, a lady was going to pick my foster kits up today, to take them to the cat show that will be at Seattle Center this weekend. One of them had some spots. How funny, i thought, he scraped his face. oh no, another spot on his ear. uh oh, on his other ear too. AUGH!!! IT IS RINGWORM!!!!

no cat show for these guys... and they won't be adopted for a while now.
    Sigh...
and i wanted to get rid of them so i can start preparing for my vacation.
ARGH. and the hair dresser lady wouldn't take me yesterday, no haircut until NEXT WEEK.

Oh, crap, is it that time again?!?

Life is good. Short day at the clinic, the boy sent me an email saying I make his heart flutter (wait, maybe not so good as we're no longer in our twenties... ), I grocery shopped and now am going to try to nap. Tonight dinner with J and his sister, then back to work for me, a night shift.

Salsa--I *love* the colors, and the kimono is a work of art. We all want to hear the story.

KN--sing along, "I feel pretty, oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and wise!"

Mimi--DRAG about the ringworm. Ariel had that on her ear when she was a baby. I wrote "ringworm" in a patient's chart recently, and one of the other midwives corrected it to "tinnea cruris". Well, yeah, I know, but we call it ringworm!

Snap--once I got nearly highjacked into one of those talks. Yikes. I'm impressed that you got through it without bolting. Enjoy LV!

I'd rather work OT as much as it took to pay for a trip to LV than sit through one of those time share sales things. YUCK!!

Tomorrow is the first anniversary of my first Century!

Happy Anniversary!! I find that absolutely amazing. One year after your first century and you'll get your R12 and have done a whole brevet series complete with 600k. Next year RAAM!!

Fish - glad the house, dog and child are well. And of course you're keeping your name - I wouldn't expect anything else from yoU!!!

BMo3 - a moose and a duck! Ha! That's great! CWR - where do you find all these amzing photos and liks? Very cool! I don't think I mentioned it, but those photos you posted on the other thread from your home were AMAZING!!

Lise - poor J headboard - but that is just so cute that you're bringing him cookies!! All together now: "AAAAAAWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!"

Salsa - I am totally in on the shelter. If we wait 14 or so years, we can even use the PP as our vet!! (I've got my fingers crossed on that one, trying to guide her there somewhat gently because I can just see it's what she'd want. No I'm not an overbearing, calculating mom! Anyway, SK, maybe you can keep an eye on her while she's in school because I think she wants to go to Davis. They do have a great vet school.)

I knew I was going to get a trip - so I suffered through the whole thing. I truly was curious about how this particular plan worked, and what it cost. I doubt I will ever do it again. I was just about to the point where I was gonna say "You guys are pissing me off, give me my prize and let me leave! I also got tickets for a Champagne cruise out of Alameda. Which would be fine except it appears it only happens once a month, on Tuesdays, at 2:00 in the afternoon. Pffft.

I need to get my SS gift packed up and sent. Hope she likes the goodies and sox I found.

Mimi's correct about getting behind in the Thread Drift. I can't make heads or tails of what I just read since I haven't looked at them for a while.

The only thing that stands out right now for me is that I need to make a pumpkin pie tonight (I must be hungry!) See what you did Deb!

Hubby is up at the Grand Canyon working at the clinic today and tomorrow so I am alone with the Big Kitty tonight and tomorrow. Sunday, we go pick up the moving truck at U-Haul to go load up at my parents (20 miles south of here). They are moving to Tucson to the warm climate (very near my sister). Dad is 88 and mom is 81.

Everything worked out really well since they really needed to get out of snow country before it really started socking in here. I'm so glad, they got a good price for their house and found a nice house they like down in Tucson. It needs some work so they will move in to their new house mid November. In the meantime, they will be staying with my sister. That's hard for her and her husband cause no matter how much we love them, they are getting old and hard to live with - Oh, well, those are the breaks. At least they are still with us!

I'm not sure I'll be able to help them with their move from the storage place to their new house in Tucson though. I'm scheduled for a hike on veterans day weekend into the Grand Canyon for 3 days; and am going to visit the hubby's mom and step dad in Florida for Thanksgiving. I feel bad about that, but we will hire them help if they need it!

So Spokewench, who or what is the big Kitty?

I am happily about ready to leave the office, for the entire weekend.
The sky is mostly blue, and there's 40-50 mile ride scheduled for tomorrow.
    Maybe I'll actually do it.

Lise- I am so pleased to hear things are going sowell with J. Enjoy dinner with him and his sister. Sunday sounds delightfully wonderful.
Wishing Darryn all the best in the marathon.

Knot- I waffled on which bra to order. I want them both, but could barely afford one, so I chose http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=22526 I will give a report once it arrives.

Snap-I cannot believe you sat through all that. You deserve several vacations for endurance.

Salsa-I will help with the shelter, I am good with cats. Thank you for thinking of me. I hate tests. I just hope there are not more to come anytime soon.
You have picked out some of the most gorgeous colours I have ever seen!
I do so hope you decide to decorate the cat, I would very much like to see it.
Do tell the story behind the beautiful Kimono

Kitsune- I have never seen Cirque de Soliel, enjoy!

Mimi-I am so sorry to hear about the ringworm. The poor kitties.

Maillotpois-I will see your violin and raise you a bassoon and an oboe (it sounds as though a moose and a duck are being tortured in my home).

    Big Kitty

Big Kitty is exactly that - a very large 20 pound 19?-20? year old Main Coone kitty. He has long hair, tabby and lots of white - I don't have a digital camera or I would post a picture. We love him very much - he's been with my hubby and me since we have been married and before.
