I hope you get the snake for your birthday. The colouring is lovely. Do you have long to wait for your birthday?

*hairy eyeball* no caving, and if she really "doesn't get it" you could always say "Oh, it's not you, it's me- as in "I'm really sick of...." I hate having to spell the obvious out. You're a witty chick, you'll come up with something.

hamsters are kinda bitey and edible. I'd more suggest a cat. xdh's cat Escher got struck once by his boa (?) Phineas and was afraid of all things long and snake-ish for the rest of his life. It's sad and funny to see 13#, huge Esch bush, hiss and growl at the vacuum cleaner hose.

Oh you are SO MEAN! Taunting me about PR that way. You know he'll always be my honey.

I still have pages of TD to catch up on, but as soon as Mom finishes packing, we're going to dinner.

I was able to get into AOL at my SIL's place today--J. had written to me and we got to talk this afternoon. (Insert silly grinning smiley face) We're both really looking forward to seeing each other when I get back. His sister is in town from Portland, helping him pack and move. He said he'd like me to meet her next Friday before she goes back--yikes! OUTFIT?!?

The wedding was wonderful, reception so much fun, and the brunch today at her house was lovely. Mom and I hung out with the newly weds and her parents until 4 PM, when they left for the honeymoon. Mid-day I walked over and briefly explored the National Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. It's (mostly) all about Mary, my personal favorite. It's a gorgeous church. I only had about 20 min to poke around, but I'll go back another time. Met a friend of theirs' who is a nurse-practitioner, works in a clinic similar to mine. We huddled on the couch and traded stories, happy as pigs in mud. I'm going to go see her clinic tomorrow. Hope to lunch with my cousin, and get in a visit to the Phillips Collection, at the least, tomorrow as well.

OK, Mom's ready, so I'm off! Hang in there, KN. You're clearing your field to receive and give much love.

It pays to always read the 'whole thing' first. I'm reading through Chica's post, and I see
    weird spasms (happy knot)
and I go "Buh? Do weird spasms mean happy knots? Is this a new kind of lingo I don't know yet? What?"

And then I see the explanation later. It's not the spelling, it's the punctuation this time. (insert grammar facist of choice here!)

CWR, if we play bartender, we'll both be wanting to die, but it'll be a fun evening. Let's do that ride *before* that, because I'm not so sure the bike will feel good after all that.

...I thought all spams were weird? oh man, I am *so* craving spam sushi right now.

I love snakes as pets (not ones I stumble across in the "wild") I just can never have one for 2 reasons. 1. My DH hates snakes and 2. I can't feed em live food. Even the frozen kind you can buy, I can't feed to the snake cuz I think about the poor lil mouse whose life was cut short so it could become just another notch on the food chain.

I like reptiles. I would love to have a cameleon but its been veto'ed. I did get my tat finally tho. I wanted a lizard but since I promised I wouldn't get a lizard tat, I got a dragon. Kinda the same thing, right? Tho he still hates it.

Wanna hear something funny? When I prepare wings to grill, I can't eat them. I get caught up in thinking about the lil chickies as I "prune" their wings for grilling, and I get to where the thought of eating them repulses me. That makes my DH happy cuz he loves my hot wings.

Sorry - Just thought I'd share some of my quirky idiosyncrasies......

DD- Hey! It's been a long, long, long time since I've had SPAM. (Probably close to 10 years, now that I think of it...) so I don't have an adequate memory of how traumatizing it must be. I just remember salty meat, and that's fine with me.

I have a hard time keeping anything as a pet that I've eaten before. All birds look about the same when waxed/feathered, snakes look about the same when skinned, fish, same, turtles and frogs, same rats look like squirrels, I'm sure, but I try not to think about/mention it around DGF. She's so sensitive...

Spam sushi is yummy. But we already discussed this. Sorry, Kit, we just can't convert them...

I kinda like how the shoyu tastes with it, but I can't bring myself to try adding the flavor of wasabi and/or pickled ginger. Knot... we might be in the minority, you know...
