It occured to me that I was being so cautious about my dating life on line because I was seeing various guys, and didn't want them checking up on me. Now that I'm so enjoying seeing the Southern Gentleman, who cares? I'm happy! Whoo hoo! He will henceforth be called "J", by the way, since the abbreviation "SG" is the same initials as my ex's name (where's the "barf" icon?) He is such a cool guy, nice, funny, smart, has a great deep voice with a southern accent...sigh. I get to see him again tomorrow midday. We're fitting in times to see each other, since between my trip to DC and his move, there won't be many opportunities for the next week and a half. How wonderful to have someone who makes a way to see me when the time is tight. This feels really good.

And now for something completely different...my elbow's even feeling better. Not *all* better, but a lot better just today. The chiro did some different things on Saturday. I'm seeing him again tomorrow afternoon (he's the other man in my life...make the pain go away and I'll love you forever! ) I hope to soon be back to normal with the elbow. That would be great.

It's getting cold, wet, and windy here. Even predicting some snow flurries. Today I talked to J. about how beautiful the lake is in the winter. I look forward to sharing that with him. He's from the south, and hasn't lived a winter near Lake Michigan yet. What's so cool is that he loves it up here. Anyone who loves my city is a notch up in my book. Hmmm, is dating someone new sufficient reason to get yet another winter coat? I guess not.

YES! Yes it is, especially when you live here. Here's my suggestion for warmth with style and sass:

It's longer than a jacket, the filling is warm but thin so it doesn't make the wearer look bulky, and pulling up a hood can be cute and romantic! And it's Land's End, so it's good value for money.

    Happy shopping ...

    Lise you sound so happy!!
I am pleased to hear your elbow is feeling better. And yes, you definitely deserve a new jacket. Which did you have in mind?

No money left for a social life or anything else I might want for the next month (at least), but who cares about that! And when I do get back to my mtb, I'll be fast.

Please PM me, Lise! Can't help but be nosy after reading the little hints you've thrown out.......

    Congrats, DirtD! Whoo-ee!

Love, absolutely LOVE your ee.cummings quote, CWR. So perfect for my time of life.

I saw snowflakes today. UGH!!! Nothing against snow, but NOT YET!! Couldn't we wait till December, at least? Not that it stuck, but still, the thought of snow. I actually brought the indoor trainer out for it's first session of the season. Not ready for that!

My kitty has a name............ drum roll, please................................
Houdini, the wonder cat! 'Cause he can get in and out of anywhere! As he's already proved to us. Poor little guy - in the time he was out wandering, he picked up fleas, ear mites, and roundworms. All treated at the vet today. So I can only imagine how feisty he'll be when he's totally healthy! Whoooo!!! He and the guinea pig have now met, face to face. Guinea pig in cage, cat clinging with claws to outside of cage, staring each other down. Cat backed of first, falling off the cage. Might as well let them get used to each other. I just wish I'd had the camera handy! Sometime.......

mimitabby - what did I miss about the pet shop?? And the cats??

Spent most of the evening working on my halloween costume. Fun! It's for a Halloween bike ride. The Pumpkin Ride in Preston, MN. Anyone else doing any costume rides? I LOVE halloween. My favorite holiday. No kids left to create costume for, so lucky I get to do it for me.

TD moves so fast! I'm not keeping up like I'd like to.
